Publication Ethics โ NGR Publisher
NGR Publisher is dedicated to promoting the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct in academic publishing. Our guidelines are grounded in globally recognized best practices and are designed to safeguard the credibility and reliability of scholarly communication. All parties involved in the publication processโauthors, reviewers, and editorsโare expected to uphold these principles.
1. Authorship Ethics
Authorship Criteria: Only individuals who have made substantial contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research should be listed as authors. All listed authors must approve the final version of the manuscript and consent to its submission.
Corresponding Author Responsibilities: The corresponding author manages the submission and communication with the journal. They are responsible for confirming that all co-authors have reviewed and approved the manuscript.
Acknowledgment of Contributors: Individuals who contributed to the work but do not meet the criteria for authorship (e.g., technical support, language editing, or funding) should be appropriately acknowledged.
2. Originality and Plagiarism
Original Content: Submissions must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Authors must properly cite or quote any content derived from other works.
Plagiarism Checks: All manuscripts are subject to plagiarism screening. Any form of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, will result in immediate rejection or retraction.
3. Data Integrity and Transparency
Accuracy of Data: Authors are expected to present data truthfully and without manipulation. Falsification or fabrication of data is a serious ethical breach.
Data Availability: Authors must be ready to provide raw data when requested for editorial assessment or public access, ensuring transparency and accountability.
4. Conflicts of Interest
Disclosure Requirements: Authors must disclose any financial, personal, or professional relationships that could be perceived as influencing their research.
Editorial and Reviewer Conflicts: Editors and reviewers are also required to disclose potential conflicts of interest and, if necessary, withdraw from the review process to maintain impartiality.
5. Ethical Approval and Research Integrity
Human and Animal Studies: Research involving human or animal subjects must comply with ethical standards and receive approval from an appropriate ethics committee. A statement confirming such approval must be included in the manuscript.
Informed Consent: For studies involving human participants, informed consent must be obtained. Authors should safeguard participantsโ privacy and include proof of consent where applicable.
6. Peer Review Process
Reviewer Duties: Reviewers must maintain confidentiality, evaluate manuscripts objectively, and provide constructive feedback. Any conflict of interest must be disclosed.
Double-Blind Review: NGR Publisher follows a double-blind review process to ensure unbiased evaluation, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous.
Fair Assessment: Manuscripts must be judged solely on academic merit, without bias related to the authorโs race, gender, religion, ethnicity, or political beliefs.
7. Corrections and Retractions
Error Reporting: Authors are responsible for notifying the journal of significant errors or inaccuracies in their published work. Corrections or retractions will be issued as needed.
Retraction Policy: In cases involving serious ethical violationsโsuch as plagiarism, falsification, or fabricationโthe journal reserves the right to retract the article and publish a retraction notice.
8. Publication Misconduct
Duplicate Submissions: Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals is unethical. Authors must avoid redundant publications.
Image Integrity: Authors must not alter images in ways that could mislead readers. Any modifications should be applied uniformly and disclosed in the manuscript.
Redundant Publication: Dividing one study into multiple publications without sufficient justification (salami slicing) is discouraged. Each submission should represent a distinct and valuable contribution.
9. Editorial Responsibilities
Independence in Decision-Making: Editors are solely responsible for deciding whether a manuscript is suitable for publication, based on originality, significance, and relevance, free from external influence.
Confidentiality: Editors must treat all manuscript information as confidential and disclose it only to individuals involved in the editorial process.
Appeals and Complaints: Authors may appeal editorial decisions with reasonable justification. The journal investigates all complaints regarding unethical conduct with diligence and fairness.
10. Reviewer Responsibilities
Confidentiality and Objectivity: Reviewers must keep manuscript content confidential and provide fair, unbiased evaluations.
Identification of Sources: Reviewers should point out any relevant, uncited literature and notify the editor of any overlap with previously published material.
Punctuality: Reviewers should complete their evaluations within the agreed timeline. If delays are unavoidable, they must inform the editorial team promptly.
This ethical policy is central to NGR Publisherโs mission to support a trustworthy and credible academic publishing environment. We rely on the cooperation and integrity of our contributors to maintain these standards.
