ABSTRACT:

The study examined the relationship between Safety Management Strategies and Studentsโ€™ Learning Behaviour in public secondary schools in Calabar Education Zone. Two objectives and two research questions were raised while two null hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. Correlational research design was adopted for the study. The population of the study comprised 1,813 teachers in the 94 public secondary schools in Calabar Education Zone. The sample size was 328 teachers. Two sets of researcherโ€™s developed instruments entitled: โ€˜โ€˜Safety Management Strategies Questionnaire (SMSQ) and Studentsโ€™ Learning Behaviour Questionnaire (SLBQ)โ€™โ€™ were used for data collection. The instruments were validated by two experts from the Department of Curriculum Studies, Educational Management and Planning and one expert from Psychological Foundation Department, all from the Faculty of Education. The inter-item reliability method was used to determine the internal consistency of the instruments which yielded a reliability coefficient of 0.78 and 0.88 respectively. The research questions were answered using Pearsonโ€™s Product Moment Correlation (PPMC) while the null hypotheses were tested using Pearsonโ€™s Product Moment Correlation at 0.05 level of significance. The findings of the study revealed that safety management strategies such as; safety programmes and safety supervision significantly relate to studentsโ€™ learning behaviours in public secondary schools in Calabar Education Zone, Cross River State. It was recommended amongst others that safety supervision should not be left for administrators alone, but should be carried out by teachers as well since they are closer to the students. This may help modify studentsโ€™ learning behaviors in a positive direction.

ABSTRACT :

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly shaping the structure and performance of modern economies, influencing how resources are allocated, how productivity is enhanced, and how long-term economic growth can be achieved in a sustainable manner. As governments, businesses, and financial systems adopt AI-driven technologies, understanding their broader economic impact has become essential. This study examines the impact of artificial intelligence on sustainable economic growth, with a particular focus on productivity enhancement, innovation dynamics, financial system efficiency, labor market outcomes, and environmental sustainability. The paper adopts a multidisciplinary perspective, integrating insights from economics, technology studies, finance, and public policy. It explores how AI contributes to economic growth by improving decision-making processes, automating routine tasks, reducing information inefficiencies, and enabling data-driven optimization across sectors such as manufacturing, services, finance, energy, and public administration. AI-driven systems enhance productivity by increasing operational efficiency, supporting innovation, and enabling firms to scale more effectively. These gains, when combined with appropriate institutional and policy support, can translate into sustained economic expansion rather than short-term growth spikes. Beyond productivity, the study highlights the role of AI in promoting sustainable economic outcomes. AI applications in energy management, supply-chain optimization, environmental monitoring, and green finance contribute to more efficient resource use and reduced environmental impact. At the same time, the paper recognizes that AI-driven growth is not automatically inclusive or sustainable. Challenges such as labor market displacement, skill polarization, data governance concerns, ethical risks, and unequal access to digital infrastructure may limit the positive impact of AI if left unaddressed. The analysis emphasizes that the overall impact of AI on sustainable economic growth depends heavily on complementary factors, including investments in human capital, digital infrastructure, regulatory frameworks, and institutional capacity. Effective public policies are necessary to ensure that AI adoption supports inclusive growth, enhances resilience, and aligns economic incentives with long-term sustainability goals. The study concludes that artificial intelligence should be viewed as a strategic economic enabler rather than a standalone technological solution. When guided by sound economic policies and governance structures, AI has the potential to support long-term, sustainable economic growth across both advanced and developing economies.

ABSTRACT:

Breast cancer survivorship has unique challenges in the physical, emotional, and social domains of health. There is emerging evidence that plant-based dietary patterns may bring significant benefits to breast cancer survivors through a variety of biological mechanisms and lifestyle factors. This review outlines the current state of research into the relationship between plant-based diets and quality of life outcomes among survivors of breast cancer, covering physical functioning, psychosocial wellbeing, and social health. The review draws together epidemiological studies, clinical trials, and mechanistic research to provide a comprehensive understanding of how plant-based nutrition could support survivorship care. Evidence exists to show that plant-based diets high in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and legumes are related to weight management, less fatigue, improved physical function, improved emotional health, and increased social interaction among survivors. These seem to be mediated by anti-inflammatory and hormonal effects, improvement in gut microbiota composition, and psychosocial factors associated with self-efficacy in lifestyle changes. Although there are methodological limitations, the balance of evidence supports the incorporation of plant-based dietary counselling into comprehensive survivorship care programs.

ABSTRACT :

This study extends transformational leadership practices in Nepalโ€™s hospitality and tourism sector within a globalizing business environment, with particular emphasis on employee commitment, engagement, and service-related outcomes. Adopting a mixed-methods research design, the study integrates quantitative survey data collected from 314 employees across hospitality and tourism organizations with qualitative insights to capture contextual influences. Descriptive and reliability analyses reveal that transformational leadership behaviors are present to a moderate-to-high extent, with performanceoriented and nurturing leadership dimensions emerging as most prominent. Employee commitment and engagement demonstrate a strong overall profile, driven primarily by emotional attachment and a sense of belonging, while motivation and involvement exhibit comparatively moderate levels. Qualitative findings highlight the influential role of cultural norms, hierarchical structures, and globalization-related pressures in shaping leadership practices and employee experiences. The results suggest an associative pathway in which transformational leadership is linked to employee commitment and engagement, which in turn relate to perceived organizational and service outcomes. The study contributes to hospitality leadership literature by emphasizing the importance of culturally sensitive leadership approaches and offers practical insights for enhancing employee engagement and service performance in developing tourism economies.

From Classroom to Reality: The Impact of Drama-Based Learning on Communicative Proficiency

From Classroom to Reality: The Impact of Drama-Based Learning on Communicative Proficiency

๐Ÿ“˜ : Nexus Global Research Journal of Artโ€™s, Humanities (NGRJAH) Volume 2, Issue 2, 2026 (Page : 49 – 51)

ABSTRACT:

This research paper offers a comprehensive investigation into the cultivation of communicative competence by leveraging drama-based instructional methodologies within the field of foreign language pedagogy. The central premise of the work posits that genuine linguistic proficiency extends far beyond the mere memorization of syntactic structures and vocabulary; rather, it necessitates a functional capacity to navigate and utilize the language within authentic, socially relevant contexts. To brid ge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, the study highlights how drama-based interventions establish a dynamic, experiential learning environment. Within these simulated settings, students are no longer passive recipients of information but active participants who must navigate real-time interpersonal exchanges. By synthesizing foundational linguistic frameworks with modern pedagogical strategies, the paper provides empirical evidence of how theatrical techniquesโ€”such as role-play, improvisation, and scripted performanceโ€”serve to significantly bolster both oral fluency and reading comprehension. Ultimately, the findings suggest that the immersive nature of drama fosters a more holistic and resilient approach to second-language acquisition.

ABSTRACT:

This article systematically analyzes the role and significance of cultural exchange in strengthening international diplomatic relations. Based on the theory of “soft power” and principles of social identity, it scientifically substantiates how culture serves as a bridge in interstate relations. The paper examines a comparative analysis of Western and Eastern exchange models, the social effectiveness of educational programs (Erasmus, Fulbright), and the impact of digital technologies on cultural ties. Results indicate that cultural proximity not only ensures political stability but also directly contributes to an increase in international trade volume. Finally, recommendations are proposed regarding the use of “art s diplomacy” and virtual reality technologies to counter the risks of modern isolationism.
